This species is a perennial herbaceous plant, 30-90 cm high, with a strong scent, almost hairless, and its trunk and branches are generally reddish. The leaves are toothed, wrinkled, stalked and dark green in colour. The flowers are purple in color and many of them are gathered together at the ends of the branches. It is found in Northwest and Western Anatolia. It likes wet and shady places. Since it does not produce seeds, it is produced only through rhizomes. It is still grown in gardens and orchards in our country.
