Salt is an essential nutrient for the human body to continue its functions. There are ions such as calcium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride, potassium, sulfur and magnesium in our body along with protein, fat, carbohydrates and water. Of these, sodium, chloride, potassium and calcium ions provide the body's electrolyte balance. The fact that these ions are less or more than a certain value in the human body will disrupt the electrolyte balance and cause some disorders in the body. Among the ions mentioned, it is possible to find sodium and chloride together in salt. Pure salt contains approximately 40% sodium and 60% chloride.
