Arifoglu Black Cumin Oil (Nigella Sativa) is 40-60cm tall, its flowers are white, its tips are greenish blue. It is also called white black cumin in Europe because its flowers are white. After fertilization, cones begin to form. The cones are five-sectioned and have five antenna-shaped protrusions on them. Seeds are arranged from top to bottom in the compartments inside the cone. When its seeds are rubbed between the fingers, it gives off a scent reminiscent of nutmeg, fennel and anise. Its seeds are black in color and 2-3 cm in size with three surfaces. It is the most important species produced in Turkey. It is seen in the natural environment in Amasya, İçel, Gaziantep, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Kahramanmaraş and Siirt.
